Stoneroos realises interactive TV application for Rabo TV
In the period from December first 2007 until the end of January 2008 10 episodes of the television programme My First Home (MFH), will be broadcasted by RTL4 as an interactive TV programme on the platforms of UPC Digital and Tele2 Digital.
Stoneroos Interactive Television has created and realised this Interactive TV concept for Rabobank.
During the development of this interactive TV programme Stoneroos cooperated closely with My First Home's producer, Networks Unlimited, Chellomedia Interactive (for the play-out on the UPC platform) and Avinity (for the play out on the Tele2 platform).
The interactive TV concept meets Rabobank's whish to inform first time real estate buyers in several ways about mortgages and other financial subjects: informative, profounding, with respect to content and with a relativizing twist.

Annelies Kaptein, CEO Stoneroos:
"We are proud of the interactive TV concept Stoneroos has realised for Rabobank. Never before could TV viewers calculate their personal maximum loan while watching TV. It is also the first time an interactive TV programme is played out on the platform of UPC as well as that of Tele2."
An extra and surprising element is formed by the additional video content on the week's subject. The interactive programme offers serious, informative content by an expert as well as humorous sketches by a comedian.
In short: An enrichment for al viewers of My First Home.

Stoneroos nominated for iTV Award
Yesterday the selection for the "International Interactive TV Awards 2007 (AFDESI)" has been announced. In the category 'Best Set-top Box iTV application' Stoneroos' iFanzy has been nominated.
AFDESI received a total of 92 applications in nine different categories. Stoneroos Interactive Television will compete with BBC (UK), DirecTV (USA) and TV3 (Spain). The winners will be announced on the 30th of October, during the "iTV Show Europe 2007" in Barcelona.
Since the launch of Stoneroos five years ago, Stoneroos has received eight international iTV nominations. Three of them won the first prize in 2005 and 2003.
Annelies Kaptein of Stoneroos: "We are very excited about this iTV Award nomination for iFanzy. We see this as a crown on all the creative and intellectual efforts during this project. We have been working together intensively to come to a good, personal, electronic TV guide. Because we are working in a very technical, creative and competitive field, it is a challenge to realise project which stand out and are chosen by an international jury. Everybody somewhat familiar with iTV can imagine how important it is for us to be internationally recognised for all our work through the years. It stimulates us to continue making more and more beautiful, creative, interactive TV productions for our clients.
iFanzy has been developed in cooperation with Technial University of Eindhoven and has been made possible by an Eureka subsidy.
Dr. Lora Aroyo (TU-e / VU): "I have got to know Stoneroos as an inspiring, creative and skilled group of people. I am very pleased that our combined efforts are acknowledged in several fields: academically with a nomination for the Semantic Web Challange Award and with this nomination in the interactive media branche.
A growing number of (web) TV channels and on demand content asks for a dynamically, personal filter, exactly what iFanzy is all about. iFanzy recommands the viewer what to watch: a list of programs which are relevant for that specific person(s), selected by personal interest and mood. Users can browse their personal content threw a set-top box on TV as well as on the Internet, where they can plan their own TV evening and even schedule a recording. Besides all this, the interface can also be personalised by using other images as background or select another font. We applied intelligent techniques to make it possible to learn form the viewer and deduce new recommendations for future requests.
